My choice of personal knowledge management (PKM): logseq
- 1 minutes read - 189 wordsI chose logseq as my PKM
I was overloaded with information in the past several weeks. I sought many ways to overcome it. One choice I made is using logseq as PKM.
why?
There are several open source or freeware verion of PKM. Why did I choose logseq?
-
logseq is clojure based. I am a big fan of lisp-liked languages. I studied and did some coding using racket, common-lisp, elisp and clojure after I read Paul Graham’s essays about lisp. After those experiences even though I didn’t code in professional setting, I really appreciate LISP for its power.
-
Datalog for query: similiar language is used in Datomic database.
-
edn for configuration: a subset of the syntax used by Clojure
-
built-in flashcard: it help to effectively memorize facts.
I definitely need to use a PKM to cater for my overloaded situation. Why not kill two birds with one stone
Experiences in the past several weeks
